NEW ARCTIC MONKEYS ALBUM TITLED ‘AM’

Above: photo of the young Arctic Monkeys. Back when they were simply a blossoming Indie Rock band following the steps of the Strokes. Young and irrelevant.

We at vibesonvibes are very excited about the new record. Based off of the singles ‘R U Mine’ and ‘Do I Wanna Know?,’ this album seems to be going in a heavier direction with rock riffs being the basis of the songs. The Yorkshire quartet maintains, however, their beloved melodic and fun approach to the music. According to NME, John Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and former member of The Coral Bill Ryder-Jones make appearances on the new record, exciting many fans who eagerly anticipate the new direction in which the band seems to be heading. If the singles are any indication, we should really be looking forward to this album.  ‘AM’ is scheduled to release Sept. 9.
